Susan Vaught

Susan wrote her first story in third grade, a really stinky 30-page story about a horse named Barandie. Susan kept writing poems and stories all the way through school, and they got less stinky, thank goodness! Susan worked on school newspapers and magazines, and had her first poem published during her senior year of high school. Fat Tuesday was her first published book and is a fantastic YA read, rich with its southern setting and distinctive southern characters.

Susan Vaught is now a highly acclaimed author for Bloomsbury Press, writing Exposed, Big Fat Manifesto, Trigger, Stormwitch, and a number of books for adults. Her most recent releases include Oathbreaker Part I: Assassin's Apprentice and Oathbreaker Part II: A Prince Among Killers, an epic fantasy co-authored with her son JB Redmond. She is a practicing neuropsychologist and lives with her family in Kentucky.
